Amazon Warehousing & Distribution (AWD), part of Amazon Supply Chain Services, is building the future of logistics - enabling manufacturers of all sizes to leverage Amazon"s world-class supply chain, transportation network, and advanced technology to move products from factory floor to customer door faster, more reliably, and at significantly lower cost.

We are looking for an entrepreneurial, results-oriented Sr. Business Development Manager to drive seller acquisition and growth by displacing incumbent 3PL providers and positioning AWD as the single, integrated supply chain solution for sellers operating across multiple channels. This is a unique opportunity to operate in a customer-facing, startup-like environment within Amazon - where speed, ownership, and customer obsession drive everything we do.

Key job responsibilities

Strategic Growth & Account Planning: Develop and execute strategic account plans that drive revenue growth and expand partnership scope. Own end-to-end strategy for partner program launches and optimization, ensuring measurable ROI.

Relationship Management & Consultative Expertise: Build executive-level partner relationships, navigating complex and ambiguous situations to maximize partnership value. Serve as a trusted strategic advisor providing data-driven insights and tailored recommendations.

Client Advocacy & Cross-Functional Leadership: Champion the voice of the seller internally, working cross-functionally with Product, Operations, Sales, and Leadership to ensure services evolve to meet partner demands. Influence without authority to remove barriers and enhance the partner experience.

Executive Communication & Risk Management: Deliver clear, compelling communications to partners and AWD leadership including strategic business reviews and executive briefings. Proactively assess risks and lead escalation management with a solutions-oriented approach.

Market Intelligence & Opportunity Development: Synthesize market trends, competitive dynamics, and partner feedback to inform internal roadmaps. Identify and cultivate lead generation opportunities within existing partnerships to drive incremental revenue.

A day in the life

No two days are the same. One morning you"re leading a consultative call with an enterprise seller evaluating AWD against their current 3PL. By midday, you"re in a cross-functional session with Product translating seller feedback into roadmap priorities. Later, you"re analyzing shipment data to identify high-potential accounts, then preparing a strategic business review for leadership. This role blends relationship building, data-driven decision-making, and strategic storytelling - all in service of growing AWD"s seller base.

About the team

The Amazon Warehousing and Distribution (AWD) team is building a best-in-class third-party logistics (3PL) offering that delivers meaningful value for our customers, sellers, and Amazon. We operate at the intersection of supply chain innovation and customer obsession - moving fast, embracing ambiguity, and challenging the status quo. Our mission is to simplify logistics so sellers can focus on growing their business, while driving efficiency and scale across Amazon"s fulfillment network. We thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment where bold ideas are encouraged.

Amazon.com Inc

At Amazon, we don’t wait for the next big idea to present itself. We envision the shape of impossible things and then we boldly make them reality. So far, this mindset has helped us achieve some incredible things. Let’s build new systems, challenge the status quo, and design the world we want to live in. We believe the work you do here will be the best work of your life.

Wherever you are in your career exploration, Amazon likely has an opportunity for you. Our research scientists and engineers shape the future of natural language understanding with Alexa. Fulfillment center associates around the globe send customer orders from our warehouses to doorsteps. Product managers set feature requirements, strategy, and marketing messages for brand new customer experiences. And as we grow, we’ll add jobs that haven’t been invented yet.

It’s Always Day 1
At Amazon, it’s always “Day 1.” Now, what does this mean and why does it matter? It means that our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon’s very first day – to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and stay focused on delighting our customers. In our 2016 shareholder letter, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos shared his thoughts on how to keep up a Day 1 company mindset. “Staying in Day 1 requires you to experiment patiently, accept failures, plant seeds, protect saplings, and double down when you see customer delight,” he wrote. “A customer-obsessed culture best creates the conditions where all of that can happen.” You can read the full letter here

Our Leadership Principles
Our Leadership Principles help us keep a Day 1 mentality. They aren’t just a pretty inspirational wall hanging. Amazonians use them, every day, whether they’re discussing ideas for new projects, deciding on the best solution for a customer’s problem, or interviewing candidates.
