Key Responsibilities - Identify and develop new customers, retail channels, and business opportunities outside Sunshine Outdoors' existing business.
- Build relationships with new buyers and decision-makers and secure customer meetings.
- Research prospective retailers to identify assortment gaps, product opportunities, pricing, and competitive trends.
- Lead new-business presentations, product proposals, quotations, and negotiations.
- Partner with U.S. and overseas teams to develop customer-specific products, pricing, samples, packaging, and programs.
- Manage opportunities from initial contact through product development, negotiation, and purchase order.
- Attend trade shows, customer meetings, and industry events to generate new leads.
- Maintain and report a new-business pipeline, including opportunity value, status, next steps, and expected timing.
- Transition established new business to the appropriate Account Manager for ongoing management.
Qualifications - 3+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management within consumer products or retail.
- Proven ability to develop new customers and win new business.
- Experience working with major U.S. retailers; established buyer relationships preferred.
- Experience in outdoor, sporting goods, furniture, seasonal, or general merchandise preferred.
- Strong understanding of retail pricing, product development, and customer presentations.
- Experience working with overseas teams or factories preferred.
- Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to independently manage a new-business pipeline.
- Ability to travel as needed.
