We are seeking a dynamic and ambitious Permanent Business Development Manager to join our vibrant team in the Sales industry. This exciting role offers the opportunity to spearhead new business initiatives, drive sales growth, and establish strong customer relationships. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the corporate event planning industry, specifically in selling team building and/or charitable events to corporations. This is a full time onsite role working in our office in Chicago.

Responsibilities:

As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for:

1. Developing and implementing strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals.
2. Conducting market research to identify new business opportunities and understand the market trends.
3. Managing and nurturing client relationships to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
4. Leading negotiations with potential clients to close sales effectively.
5. Collaborating with the sales team to achieve sales targets and improve sales strategies.
6. Overseeing the planning and execution of corporate events.
7. Managing sales projects from conception to completion.
8. Providing accurate sales forecasts and reporting to senior management.
9. Identifying potential risks and opportunities within the market to ensure business growth.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

1. A minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the corporate event planning industry.
2. Proven experience selling team building and/or charitable events to corporations.
3. Advanced communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence decisions and build strong relationships.
4. A proven track record of driving results and meeting sales goals.
5. Strong market research skills with the ability to identify and capitalize on market trends.
6. Experience in new business development and project management.
7. Exceptional customer relationship management skills.
8. Strategic planning abilities with a focus on long-term growth.
9. Experience in sales management, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
10. A passion for corporate events and a keen understanding of the industry.
