    Job Summary

    The Business Development Manager (BDM) focuses on driving revenue growth and expanding market share by selling specialized catheter design, development, and manufacturing services to medical device Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).

    Content

    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related technical field.
    • Minimum of 5+ years of business development or technical sales experience specifically within the medical device, biotech, or contract manufacturing industries.
    • Solid understanding of catheter design, polymer extrusion, or minimally invasive medical technologies.
    • Basic comprehension of medical quality and regulatory frameworks like ISO 13485 and FDA QSR (21 CFR 820).
    • Willingness to travel extensively (often up to 50%) to visit client sites, manufacturing plants, and industry trade shows.
    • Ability to work hybrid schedule (e.g., 3 days on-site, 2 days remote) out of our Minneapolis, MN or San Jose, CA facility.
    • Identify and qualify new business opportunities with global medical device OEMs.
    • Manage and expand existing accounts to secure long-term component and assembly contracts.
    • Collaborate with customer R&D teams to align their device concepts with Zeus technical capabilities.
    • Partner internally with Engineering, Project Management, and Quality teams to evaluate project feasibility and draft proposals.
    • Maintain accurate sales forecasting and track lead metrics within the company CRM (e.g., Salesforce).
    • Enhance organizational awareness of global competitive pressures and pricing.
    • Maintain high level contacts in the customer and manufacturing communities.
    • Manage relationships with key account and ensure customer satisfaction at all levels.
    • Proven track record of closing complex B2B contract manufacturing deals with long sales cycles.
    • Ability to clearly present complex manufacturing capabilities to both purchasing managers and engineering executives.
    • Strong contract negotiation skills focused on maximizing profit margins while maintaining strategic customer relationships.
    • Prepare assigned reports both annual and monthly.
    • Attend management related meetings.
    • Identify and qualify new business opportunities with global medical device OEMs.
