Business Development Manager

At Johnson Electric we are improving quality of life for everyone through our innovation motion systems. Johnson Electric (JE) is excited to announce that we are now recruiting for a Business Development Manager based in our Plymouth, MI facility.

Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Understanding and representing user needs, defining a vision for a product, setting priorities, and aligning stakeholders.

• Assess RFQ, project viability and prepare quotation, set pricing, and highlight value proposition.

• Conduct market research to identify segments where JE can grow by understanding unrealized market needs, competition, supplier, regulation, and company's existing and future capabilities.

• Create and execute strategic planning through a Discover Driven Planning (DDP) to grow business. Monitor forecast, budget and DDP and take actions on drivers to meet objectives.

• Lead the development of Sales Tools and train sales force on product differentiation.

• Monitor sales force activity to ensure execution of forecast, budget and DDP.

• Track and manage financial performance of assigned product lines (Revenue and Profit).

• Prepare Strategic planning presentation quarterly for assigned segments.

• Monitor Project Managers to ensure products are launched on time (According to customer requirements).

• Manage customer visits and agendas.

• Manage customer situations (issues) and responses.

Our Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in business or engineering

• Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for sponsorship now or in future.

• 6+ Years of experience in strategic planning, business development and marketing.

• 6+ Years of leadership experience

• Demonstrate teamwork.

• Negotiation Skills

• Presentation Skills

Would Be Advantageous:

• 10+ Years of experience in product or program management, strategic planning, and/or marketing

• MBA

• Analytical, strategic, and logical decision-making skills

• Highly organized with an emphasis on priorities and goal setting

• Strong execution and communication skills

• Experience in the manufacturing space

• Proficiency in German and/or French
