Description
We are seeking a strategic, relationship-focused, and mission-driven Business Development Manager to support the growth of Palitronica's Supply Chain Assurance initiatives. This role will focus on developing relationships, partnerships, and opportunities across government, defense, aerospace, critical infrastructure, and strategic industry sectors, while helping organizations address growing concerns about supply chain integrity, hardware assurance, counterfeit components, and cybersecurity risk.
The Business Development Manager is responsible for developing strategic relationships and creating opportunities that advance Palitronica's market position in Supply Chain Assurance. Working closely with government stakeholders, defense contractors, industry partners, regulators, standards organizations, and enterprise customers, this role will identify emerging opportunities, influence procurement initiatives, and help establish Palitronica as a trusted leader in Zero Trust Supply Chain Assurance.
While the primary focus is strategic market development and opportunity creation, the Business Development Manager will also support and, where appropriate, directly participate in the sale of Palitronica solutions, including the Anvil platform, pilot programs, consulting engagements, and strategic assurance initiatives.
The ideal candidate possesses strong relationship-building capabilities, experience navigating complex procurement environments, and the ability to communicate strategic value to senior government, military, and industry stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Relationship Development
- Develop and maintain relationships with government agencies, defense organizations, aerospace companies, critical infrastructure operators, and strategic industry stakeholders.
- Establish and expand relationships with procurement officials, program managers, supply chain leaders, engineering organizations, and executive decision-makers.
- Identify emerging market opportunities, policy initiatives, and procurement programs aligned with Palitronica's capabilities.
Opportunity Development
- Identify, qualify, and develop strategic opportunities for Supply Chain Assurance solutions.
- Support the identification and pursuit of government funding opportunities, pilot programs, and collaborative initiatives.
- Develop strategic partnerships with defense primes, OEMs, integrators, industry associations, and ecosystem partners.
- Monitor and assess relevant RFI/RFQ/RFP and procurement opportunities.
Market Advocacy & Thought Leadership
- Promote Palitronica's Zero Trust Supply Chain vision across target markets.
- Support the development of industry engagement strategies, whitepapers, presentations, and executive briefings.
- Help shape industry discussions related to hardware assurance, supply chain risk management, counterfeit mitigation, and trusted electronics.
Revenue Influence & Strategic Sales Support
- Collaborate with team members to advance opportunities from qualification through closure.
- Identify opportunities for direct sales of Anvil systems, software, services, and consulting engagements.
- Assist in the development of proposals, business cases, and procurement responses.
Qualifications
Required
- 5-10 years of business development, government relations, strategic sales, defense contracting, or related experience.
- Experience building relationships within government, defense, aerospace, manufacturing, or critical infrastructure sectors.
- Strong communication, networking, and executive engagement skills.
- Experience navigating complex procurement or enterprise buying environments.
- Willingness to travel as required.
Export Control, Controlled Goods & Security Eligibility
- Legally able to work in the USA.
- This position requires direct or indirect access to hardware, software, or technical information controlled under the Canadian Export Control List, the Canadian Controlled Goods Program, the Canadian Industrial Security Program, the U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), and/or the U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
- All applicants must be eligible or able to obtain authorization for such access, including eligibility for the Canadian Controlled Goods Program, and must be able to obtain and obtain a US Secret security clearance.
Preferred
- Experience with defense, aerospace, government, or critical infrastructure procurement processes.
- Knowledge of supply chain assurance, cybersecurity, risk management, counterfeit detection, or trusted electronics.
- Experience working with industry associations, standards bodies, or public-private partnerships.
- Familiarity with government funding programs and innovation initiatives.
- Existing relationships within target industries.
