    Summary / ObjectiveThe Business Development position is responsible for the development, growth, support, and long‑term success of VSP Technologies' Nuclear Sales initiatives within an assigned region. This role drives customer acquisition and strategic account expansion while positioning VSP as a trusted technical and commercial partner.Essential FunctionsMarket Development and StrategyDevelop and execute business development strategies focused on nuclear power generation and data center marketsIdentify, target, and close new customers within the assigned regionSupport national contract identification, development, and implementation within the assigned regionMonitor industry trends, customer needs, competitor activity, and regulatory influences affecting the nuclear and data center marketsCoordinate and support customer training initiatives related to products, applications, safety, and best practicesCustomer EngagementLead high-level customer engagement with engineering, reliability, procurement, and operations stakeholdersIdentify opportunities to convert customers to VSP engineered solutions and exclusive offeringsCollaborate with engineering to align technical solutions with customer operational and compliance requirementsProject a professional and technically credible image of VSP to promote trust, confidence, and long‑term partnershipsFinancial PlanningDevelop forecasts and prepare annual and quarterly budgets for the assigned regionTrack key performance indicators (KPIs) and customer cost‑savings initiativesEnsure accurate and timely documentation of customer savings, value creation, and project outcomesUtilize Salesforce as the primary sales, forecasting, and customer management toolCollaboration and Relationship BuildingWork closely with internal sales teams, engineering, operations, and leadership to ensure effective execution of growth initiativesMaintain positive working relationships across all VSP departments to foster a collaborative, results‑driven cultureResponsible for the assigned sales team's quarterly documentation of customer cost savings resulting from service and support for customers in the regionCompetenciesProficient in sales and building customer relationshipsOrganizational skills and change management capabilityStrategic thinking and market development capabilityProfessional presentation and communication skillsStrong problem‑solving and decision‑making skillsAbility to analyze KPIs, and market dataTechnical aptitude and ability to translate engineering value into commercial outcomesKnowledge of industrial plant applications and where the fluid sealing products are usedUnderstanding of nuclear and data center operating environmentsTravelModerate overnight travel is expected when working within territory, attending training, and participating in corporate meetings.Education and ExperienceBachelor's degree in a technical, business, or related discipline or equivalent experienceAdvanced Salesforce knowledge and applicationCustomer service interactions, support, and sales experience (Nuclear preferred)Proven work experience as a Regional Sales Manager or similar senior sales role (Preferred)Industrial experience (Preferred)This is a full‑time position.
