This is a key role in driving growth, fostering client relationships, and creating new opportunities for CDO Group. Position Summary: The Business Development Representative will be responsible for identifying and cultivating relationships with potential clients, maintaining strong relationships with existing clients, and generating new business opportunities. This role requires a blend of strategic planning, relationship management, and daily outreach activities. Key Responsibilities: - Identify and target multi-unit retailers, developers, and brands that align with CDO Group’s expertise.
- Build, nurture, and maintain strong relationships with clients, decision-makers, and industry influencers.
- Research and develop a pipeline of qualified leads using CRM systems, social media platforms (e.g., LinkedIn), and networking events.
- Schedule and conduct discovery/sales calls with prospects.
- Create and implement tailored sales strategies to meet client needs and achieve sales targets.
- Collaborate with marketing to develop presentations, proposals, and promotional materials.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and conventions (e.g., ICSC) to represent CDO Group, build brand visibility, and connect with potential clients.
- Establish partnerships with architects, developers, and other stakeholders in the construction ecosystem.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and client needs to adapt sales strategies effectively.
- Provide feedback to internal teams on market opportunities and challenges.
- Work closely with internal teams, including project management and estimating, to align client needs with company capabilities.
- Maintain detailed records of activities in the CRM system and prepare regular sales activity and pipeline reports.
Daily Activities: - Make at least 20-30 daily calls/emails to new prospects.
- Follow up on warm leads and past inquiries.
- Schedule and conduct virtual or in-person client meetings.
- Maintain regular contact with existing clients.
- Research potential leads and market trends.
- Engage on platforms like LinkedIn to identify opportunities.
- Prepare customized pitches, presentations, and proposals.
- Align with internal teams to address client-specific needs.
- Update and manage lead information in the CRM system.
- Prepare and share daily/weekly progress reports with leadership.
Qualifications: - Proven experience in enterprise business development, sales, or a related role, preferably in the construction or real estate industries.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented with a strong ability to work independently.
- Proficient in CRM systems (Hubspot), Microsoft Office Suite, and online research tools.
- Willingness to travel as needed for meetings and industry events.
