About Voyager Access Voyager Access is a nationwide installer and provider of Salto keyless entry and access control systems, proudly serving hospitality, multifamily, gaming, and education properties across the U.S. We're a second-generation, family-owned company with over 25 years in business — built on two things: technical excellence and exceptional customer service. As we grow, we're hiring people who hold themselves to that same standard.
The Opportunity We're looking for a resourceful, disciplined Business Development Representative to join our growing team. This role owns the front end of the sales cycle: prospecting, lead re-engagement, and customer reactivation across the hotel, multifamily, gaming, higher education, and student housing markets we serve. You'll work directly with our President, turning research and outreach into qualified conversations she can spend her time on.
If you're the kind of person who gets energized by keeping a pipeline full, tracks your own activity numbers, and genuinely enjoys the process of turning a cold list into a real conversation, this role was built for you.
What You'll Do - Research and build target account lists against Voyager's Ideal Customer Profile (ICP), then prospect new accounts we don't currently serve
- Re-engage Voyager's existing database of dormant, inactive, and previously unconverted leads
- Proactively check in with existing customers on a quarterly cycle to uncover upgrade, expansion, and new-installation opportunities
- Conduct 60+ outbound touchpoints per week: calls, emails, LinkedIn, and other approved channels
- Qualify every opportunity before it reaches our President: schedule appointments only once there's a real fit, need, and timing
- Provide a pre-meeting intelligence brief ahead of every scheduled appointment so our President walks in prepared
- Keep the CRM updated, accurate, and current
- Support proposal follow-up and pipeline coordination when appropriate, without losing focus on new pipeline generation
What We're Looking For
Experience - 1–4 years in sales development (SDR/BDR), inside sales, or a research- or coordination-heavy role
- Background in B2B sales development, inside sales, or research/ops-heavy work; hospitality, security, construction, technology, or property-tech exposure a plus
- Comfortable with high-volume outbound activity and methodical qualification, not a purely transactional or purely long-cycle relationship role
Skills & Approach - Genuinely enjoys research: digging into account data and building well-qualified lists
- Comfortable initiating conversations with strangers, cold and warm alike
- Disciplined CRM habits and follow-up cadences. You don't let a lead go cold
- Organized enough to juggle three pipelines at once: reactivation, re-engagement, and new prospecting
- Resilient to rejection and repetition
- Self-starter who is most productive when working independently
Compensation & Benefits - Base Salary: $60,000–$65,000
- Target Variable Compensation: $25,000–$30,000, earned on qualified appointments held, opportunities accepted into the pipeline, and closed-won revenue. On-Target Earnings (OTE): $85,000–$95,000, with uncapped upside
- Retirement Plan: Eligible after 3 months (employee contributions and company profit sharing)
- Paid Holidays & PTO: Follows company schedule
- Equipment: Laptop, mobile device, and work-from-home essentials provided
Location & Schedule - Open to candidates throughout the continental US
- Primarily remote and desk-based; occasional travel (up to 10%) for industry events, trade shows, or key account visits
- Full-time, exempt position, Monday–Friday core hours with flexibility for prospect and customer schedules
- Includes a standard 90-day probationary period
This is a remote position.
