Caring Transitions of Knoxville is seeking a personable, motivated Business Development Representative to help grow our local referral network. We support seniors and families through downsizing, relocation, estate sales, online auctions, and home clean-outs.

This part-time role is ideal for someone who enjoys meeting people, building professional relationships, and making a positive difference in the community.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with senior living communities, real estate professionals, estate planning attorneys, senior service providers, and other referral partners.

• Introduce our services through calls, emails, in-person visits, and presentations.

• Attend local networking events, community meetings, and professional gatherings.

• Follow up with prospective partners and incoming business inquiries.

• Maintain accurate records of contacts, outreach activities, and referral opportunities.

• Coordinate with our team to connect prospective clients with the appropriate services.

Qualifications

• Some experience in business development, sales, marketing, community outreach, or customer service is preferred.

• Strong communication skills and a professional, approachable manner.

• Compassion and sensitivity when working with seniors and families navigating life transitions.

• Ability to work independently, manage time, and follow through consistently.

• Basic computer skills and comfort using email, calendars, and contact management tools.

• Reliable transportation and the ability to travel throughout the Knoxville area.

• Existing connections in the local senior services or real estate community are a plus.

Position Details

• Part-time, with scheduling coordinated around outreach activities and events.

• Local travel and in-person relationship building are required.

• Compensation and expected weekly hours will be discussed during the interview process.
  
  Schedule and Compensation

• Schedule: Part-time, approximately 15 hours per week.

• Hourly Pay: $15–$18 per hour, based on relevant experience.

• Performance Incentives: Additional compensation based on results, with details discussed during the interview process.

• Work Location: Knoxville, Tennessee with local travel required for partner visits, networking events, and community outreach. No remote position.

• Scheduling: Hours coordinated around business needs and outreach activities.
  
  Training Provided: Online training will be provided to help you learn about our business, services, and approach to supporting clients and referral partners.
