    Business Development Specialist

    Employment Type: Permanent | Full-Time | On-Site

    Location: NYC, Long Island, and Westchester Markets

    Compensation: $60,000 – $100,000 


    Our client is a growing home care agency dedicated to helping individuals remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes through high-quality, compassionate care.

    They are seeking a relationship-driven Business Development Specialist to expand community partnerships and increase patient access to home care services. This role is ideal for someone with experience in home care outreach, community healthcare, long-term care, or Medicaid/MLTC programs who understands how to build strong referral networks that lead to new patient starts of care.


    Responsibilities

    • Build and maintain relationships with physicians, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, community organizations, and other referral sources.
    • Identify and develop new referral opportunities throughout the assigned territory.
    • Represent the agency at community events, healthcare offices, and outreach initiatives.
    • Educate referral partners on available home care services.
    • Collaborate with the intake team to ensure a smooth transition from referral to patient enrollment.
    • Drive consistent referral activity that converts into new patient starts of care, meeting monthly growth goals.
    • Manage your territory independently while maintaining regular outreach and follow-up activities.

    Qualifications:

    Required

    • Experience in home care marketing, community healthcare outreach, long-term care, or healthcare business development.
    • Proven ability to generate referrals, patient enrollments, or starts of care.
    • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
    • Comfortable working independently and managing an assigned territory.
    • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel locally.
    • Existing relationships within NYC, Long Island, Westchester, or surrounding healthcare communities are a strong advantage.

    Preferred

    • Familiarity with Medicaid and/or Managed Long-Term Care (MLTC) programs.
    • Experience working with community organizations, social service agencies, hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, or physician referral networks.
