As a Business Finance Analyst for the Consumer Business Group USAC Area, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Deliver sustainable operating plan and economic profit strategies.  Includes being fully engaged in the operating plan, monthly rolling estimate (MRE), quarterly operating review (QOR) and support of the quarterly finance review (QFR) processes
• Become the right hand of the business unit Area Leader with complete understanding of the business models to influence decision-making processes
• Provide ongoing business performance assessment and drive necessary business redirection, when appropriate
• Instill a continuous focus on sustainable business process improvements while connecting the components of value chain to fully capitalize on the business potential and operational effectiveness
• Ensure that success is achieved through the utmost ethical and legal means

Your Skills and Expertise   

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
• Seven (7) years in finance or finance related experience in a private, public, government or military environment 
• Three (3) years of professional hands-on experience using Microsoft Excel to create, clean, maintain, and analyze datasets, including use of formulas, pivot tables, and data validation

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include 

• MBA or Finance Graduate
• Strong financial acumen - ability to translate complex business problems into financial terms
• Technical experience using data visualization, data warehousing, and AI-enabled tools, such as Power BI and Snowflake
• Solid understanding of multiple workstreams and how they come together
• Experience applying data, analytics, or reporting capabilities in a consumer-focused business environment
• Creative problem solving - ability to work with diverse functional teams to evaluate and address key issues
• Self-starter with ability to drive change
• Very Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment

Work location:

• Onsite: This role follows an on-site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week at the 3M Center in Maplewood, MN or 3M Center in London, ON, Canada.

Travel:  May include up to 10% domestic/international travel

This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
