Job Summary
This internship is intended to provide a student with hands-on exposure to IT practices within a library setting. This experience will allow the student to connect academic concepts to real world computer and server operations while developing professional skills
Job Duties:
Respond to and resolve user-submitted help desk tickets for common issues.
Help maintain an accurate inventory of all IT assets, including hardware, and software licenses.
Maintain and update IT documentation and knowledge-based articles.
Participate in infrastructure maintenance tasks.
Help in managing user accounts and permissions within the company's Active Directory or similar directory services
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be actively working on a degree within the IT field.
Must be able to work independently.
Detail-oriented, self-motivated, ability to work independently and adapt seamlessly to fast-paced, dynamic environments.
Skilled in engaging and supporting students from different cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and meet tight deadlines.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Forms, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Word).
Preferred Qualifications:
Must be actively working on a degree within the IT field.
Prefer internship be paid through a work study grant.
Reliable transportation to travel in between branches required.
Previous experience in a community college setting
