Business Integration Developer II

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES: INTERFACE DEVELOPMENT • Develop, test, document, and maintain inbound and outbound data interfaces. • Create and modify SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) packages and processes in the Managed File Transfer system (GoAnywhere/Cleo) and business integration applications (Cleo Clarify/Azure). • Work with Analysts and Business Users to translate functional specifications into technical designs for implementation and deployment. • Thoroughly test all work before releasing code to production by developing and executing test plans and scenarios, including data design, tool design, and data extract/transform. • Begin participating in customer-facing development work for integrations under guidance from senior developers. T-SQL DEVELOPMENT • Understand database concepts as well as the implications of different database designs. • Develop well-designed reusable database objects with guidance as needed, including tables, stored procedures, views, triggers, and indexes. • Continually review and improve performance of stored procedures and SQL queries. • Participate in peer reviews of database and integration changes to ensure consistent methodologies are followed. SUPPORT • Monitor interface processing environments, including summary reporting/alerting, for exception events and implement changes to avoid recurrence. • Responsible for updating and closing assigned tasks/helpdesk tickets within Jira and maintaining Business Integration documentation. • Evaluate customer data issues and implement solutions to avoid recurrence; participate in 24/7 on-call rotation for all assigned interfaces. • Communicate effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions with project management.
