Job Details

We are seeking a litigation associate with approximately 2-4 years of experience to join a growing litigation practice handling a broad range of business disputes and complex civil matters.

This role is ideal for a motivated attorney who has developed a strong litigation foundation and is looking for greater responsibility, sophisticated matters, and meaningful long-term development. We are looking for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working directly with clients, and taking ownership of substantive litigation responsibilities while collaborating closely with experienced attorneys.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of commercial, business, insurance-related, and other complex disputes while continuing to build deposition, motion practice, case management, and trial preparation skills.

Responsibilities

Manage litigation matters from inception through resolution
Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, memoranda, and other litigation filings
Conduct legal research and analyze complex legal issues
Handle written discovery, document review, and fact investigation
Take and defend depositions and participate in witness preparation
Attend hearings, mediations, and other litigation proceedings
Assist with case strategy, budgeting, and overall matter management
Communicate directly with clients regarding litigation developments and recommendations
Work collaboratively with attorneys across multiple practice areas and teams
Assist with trial preparation and other dispute-resolution proceedings

Qualifications

Experience handling business, commercial, insurance-related, or complex civil litigation matters
Strong legal writing, analytical, and research skills
Experience managing substantive litigation assignments with increasing independence
Exposure to discovery, depositions, and motion practice
Strong organizational and case-management abilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, and attention to detail

Requirements

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Active license and good standing in Massachusetts
2-5 years of litigation experience
Experience with discovery, legal research, drafting, and motion practice
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Strong academic and professional credentials
Interest in continued trial, advocacy, and client-development growth
