Responsibilities
- Oversee a portfolio of business management clients and act as their back-office support
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll across multiple clients
- Manage the monthly close, including reconciliations and financial statements
- Analyze month-over-month fluctuations and explain the results to clients and leadership
- Prepare materials for client meetings and present the financial picture clearly
- Onboard new clients, including any bookkeeping needed to get their books current
- Plan and manage daily and monthly workflows across multiple accounts
- Supervise and support staff and keep operations moving
- Report to firm leadership on client status, open items, and team workload
- 10+ years of experience in client accounting or business management
- Strong working knowledge of AP, AR, payroll, reconciliations, and the full monthly close
- Experience preparing financial statements on both accrual and cash basis
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop
- Experience with ADP and other payroll providers
- Accounting degree required
