Responsibilities:

- Design and develop functional prototypes for process augmentation, including workflow automation, business analytics tools, and AI solutions, to improve efficiency and accuracy in accounting and payroll operations
- Conduct requirements gathering sessions with process experts and end users to identify business needs, document functional specifications, and translate them into technical solutions
- Provide ongoing support for prototypes, including troubleshooting, user training, documentation updates, and iterative enhancements based on stakeholder feedback
- Partner with IT teams to transition prototypes from development to full-scale production, ensuring robust integration with enterprise systems and adherence to security and compliance standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional development teams to share best practices, coordinate project timelines, and align on technical standards for process improvement initiatives.
- Participate in process measurement and continuous improvement activities, including data analysis, reporting, and the implementation of Lean Six Sigma methodologies
- Other projects or duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree with 2 to 4 years of related experience in Accounting, Finance, or Information Systems or related field or High School Diploma/General Education Degree with 5 to 7 plus years of specific experience in Accounting, Finance, or information systems field or related role
- Technical Proficiency, including use of MS Office Applications (e.g. Outlook, Teams, Word, Access, Excel and PowerPoint) and interaction with Enterprise Applications.
- Data Analysis Skills, including Advanced Excel (e.g. Pivots, VLOOKUPS, and Conditional Formatting) and Enterprise Data/Reporting (e.g. Snowflake/MS Power BI).
- 1+ years’ experience working with AI development and automation tools including creating AI agents (e.g. Copilot Studio and Power Automate).
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Master’s Degree
- Accounting and Financial Analysis Skills, including GL Entries, ME/YE Reconciliation and Reporting, CPA/GAAP Principles, Intercompany Adjustments, and Planning/Budgeting (e.g. IBM/TM1 Planning Analytics Database).
- Familiarity with ABC Laws, including state/local laws and associated reporting.
- Experience with ERP Systems (e.g. VIP, Encompass, JDE, or SAP)
- Ability to reverse-engineer existing systems.
