Job Description:
This job is responsible for supporting the development and execution of strategic initiatives and/or processes aligned to priorities within a functional area and/or business. Key responsibilities include defining, developing, executing, monitoring, and/or refining strategic initiatives and processes in close collaboration with key stakeholders and internal partners.

The Investment Solutions Group (ISG) Specialist team provides advisors and clients with support around a wide range of products and solutions for both brokerage and fee-based accounts. The Business Reporting and Data Manager will be part of the COO group that supports business management and performance reporting routines for the Specialist teams, as well as the overall Data Strategy for ISG.

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and self-motivated professional to join a small team that is at the center of designing and developing innovative solutions to unlock the value of data and help leaders drive growth through better insights.

The role will help develop and support the team’s data infrastructure used to drive all reporting and analytics for the Specialists and ISG broadly, including getting our data AI ready. The role will also help to develop and maintain reporting solutions for Specialists and management leveraging Alteryx and Tableau.

Responsibilities:

• Builds and/or executes business initiatives and/or processes, while partnering with stakeholders and partners
• Solves complex problems and delivers on business initiatives and processes by applying subject matter expertise and technical knowledge of the business
• Engages with key stakeholders, partners, and business leadership to deliver on business objectives
• Performs analytics, assessments, and/or interpretation of data and/or information to identify business opportunities, derive insights, and measure outcomes
• Develops strategic and tactical plans to drive progress towards business goals and objectives
• Supports business reporting routines across the Specialist teams, as well as help design, develop, and implement reporting for new sales initiatives and campaigns.
• Writes queries and pulls data to support reporting workflows and ad hoc requests from Specialists and other ISG LOBs.
• Works with ISG LOBs to develop and/or enhance datasets to support business reporting.
• Helps to design and build new Tableau dashboards based to support ongoing reporting needs, as well as making enhancements to existing dashboards.
• Helps prepare ad hoc reporting to senior leadership around team activities and impact around sales initiatives and campaigns.
• Partners with business and technology teams to develop and enhance data pipelines and data governance processes that improve the quality, accessibility, and scalability of reporting datasets
• Creates informative and interactive data visualizations to communicate complex data-driven insights to non-technical stakeholders.
• Translates ambiguous business questions into scalable, data-driven solutions, including identifying, sourcing, validating, and analyzing data to deliver actionable business insights.

Required Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience in financial services or consulting providing data and reporting solutions.
• High performer in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and ability to manage and prioritize multiple responsibilities.
• Self-starter that is able to work independently and collaborate across teams with all appropriate stakeholders.
• Ability to design, create and manage database schemas that integrate various data sources and systems to ensure efficient data storage and seamless integration with user-facing applications.
• Extensive experience coding in SQL. Additional experience in Python and/or R, along with running SQLs across multiple RDBMS technologies (SQL Server, Oracle, Hadoop, DB2).
• Ability to work with large datasets to synthesize, analyze, and form insights on business results as well as identify opportunities.
• Experience with data mining, aggregation, analysis and visualization tools such as Alteryx & Tableau.

Pay and benefits information

Pay range

$140,700.00 - $200,000.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

Discretionary incentive eligible

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
