Business Systems Analyst Sr. (Technical Delivery) - Retail Banking

Location: Columbus, OH (Remote flexibility)

Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate requirements gathering, process mapping, and documentation for teller transactions and retail banking systems
• Translate business needs into actionable functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical specifications
• Analyze application functionality, integrations, APIs, and data flows to recommend process and technology enhancements
• Support Agile teams through backlog refinement, sprint planning, testing, and release management
• Perform SQL-based data mining, validation, and reporting to support decision-making and operational excellence
• Partner with cybersecurity and development teams to address security vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
• Assist in test planning, user acceptance testing, and production support including incident, problem, and root cause analysis
• Serve as a liaison among business units, technology teams, and third-party vendors, facilitating meetings and ensuring clear communication
• Mentor junior analysts and champion best practices in business and technical analysis

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years as a Business Systems Analyst delivering enterprise technology solutions
• Hands-on experience with teller transactions and retail banking processes
• Strong skills in requirements elicitation, documentation, and stakeholder management
• Proficiency in SQL for data mining and analysis
• Experience working with APIs, application integrations, and enterprise platforms
• Knowledge of SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies with proficiency in Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar tools

Preferred Skills

• Experience in highly regulated industries such as financial services
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)
• Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD, and modern software delivery practices
• Knowledge of application security, compliance, and monitoring tools (Dynatrace, Splunk, AppDynamics)
