Jekyll & Hyde is seeking dependable, energetic, and detail-oriented Bussers to join our hospitality team. Our venue features two concepts under one roof: Jekyll, an elevated Mexican-Latin restaurant, and Hyde, an underground USDA Prime steakhouse.
Bussers are responsible for maintaining clean, organized, and properly prepared tables while supporting Servers and other team members throughout service. The ideal candidate works with urgency, anticipates the needs of guests and teammates, and takes pride in maintaining a polished dining environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Clear dishes, glassware, utensils, napkins, and other items from tables promptly and discreetly.
- Clean, sanitize, and reset tables according to restaurant standards.
- Ensure each table is properly set with the correct glassware, silverware, napkins, and other required items.
- Maintain table cleanliness throughout each guest’s dining experience.
- Refill water and assist with other guest needs as directed by the Server.
- Communicate guest requests and service concerns promptly to the appropriate team member.
- Assist Servers and Food Runners with delivering food, beverages, utensils, condiments, and share plates.
- Remove used service items between courses while avoiding disruption to guests.
- Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked service stations.
- Restock glassware, silverware, napkins, plates, and other service supplies.
- Transport dirty dishes and glassware safely to the appropriate cleaning areas.
- Handle dishes and glassware carefully to minimize damage and breakage.
- Sweep floors, clean spills, and keep dining rooms, hallways, and service areas safe and presentable.
- Help prepare dining areas before service and restore them after closing.
- Support quick and efficient table turnover without making guests feel rushed.
- Assist with large parties, private events, and special setups as directed.
- Complete all assigned opening, running, and closing duties.
- Follow all company policies, sanitation standards, and workplace-safety procedures.
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant or bussing experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Professional appearance, positive attitude, and guest-focused mindset.
- Ability to anticipate the needs of Servers, guests, and other team members.
- Ability to remain calm, organized, and productive during busy service periods.
- Dependable, punctual, and willing to assist wherever needed.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events as scheduled.
- Food-handler certification may be required under local regulations.
