NextStep Recruiting has partnered with a growing manufacturing organization to identify a Buyer / Materials Planner in Grapevine, TX. This is a full-time, onsite opportunity supporting purchasing, inventory planning, and supplier coordination to ensure materials are available to meet production demands.

This position is ideal for someone with manufacturing purchasing or materials planning experience who is proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing supplier relationships, purchase orders, and material shortages in a fast-paced environment.

Required:

• Experience in purchasing, materials planning, supply chain, or inventory management
• Ability to manage purchase orders, supplier confirmations, delivery schedules, and material shortages
• Experience working with ERP/MRP systems in a manufacturing or production environment
• Strong Excel skills, organization, and attention to detail
• Excellent supplier communication, problem-solving, and follow-up skills

Preferred:

• 2+ years of purchasing, materials planning, or supply chain experience
• Experience supporting manufacturing production schedules and material requirements
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, or industrial components
• Experience with inventory planning, shortage resolution, and supplier performance tracking
• Strong negotiation skills and experience managing material costs, lead times, and purchasing priorities
