Buyer I (Bilingual English/Spanish)

About the Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Create and manage purchase orders.
• Follow up with vendors regarding orders, pricing, and delivery schedules.
• Monitor inventory levels and support replenishment activities.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records within the ERP system.
• Track and close open purchase orders in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with Warehouse and Accounts Payable to reconcile purchase orders, receipts, and invoices.
• Analyze pricing, landed costs, and purchasing data to support buying decisions.
• Develop and maintain positive vendor relationships.
• Support purchasing process improvements and operational efficiencies.
• Perform additional purchasing and supply chain duties as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of purchasing, procurement, or buying experience.
• Experience in distribution, wholesale, manufacturing, HVAC, or similar industries preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Strong understanding of purchasing, inventory management, and supply chain operations.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis.
• Experience with ERP systems; Sage experience preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and vendor management skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.

Preferred Qualifications

• HVAC industry experience.
• Sage ERP experience.
• Knowledge of inventory planning and purchasing controls.
• Experience supporting process improvement initiatives.
