About the OpportunityDoherty Staffing Solutions is hiring a Buyer for a medical device manufacturing company in Lowell, MA. In this role, you’ll support purchasing and material availability while working closely with suppliers and internal manufacturing teams. What You'll Do as a Buyer:- Purchase materials, components, supplies, and services needed to support manufacturing operations
- Coordinate with suppliers regarding pricing, availability, lead times, and delivery schedules
- Monitor purchase orders and follow up to help ensure materials arrive on time
- Work with production, engineering, quality, and other departments to address supply needs and issues
- Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation
- Help resolve supplier, material, pricing, or delivery discrepancies
- Support company quality procedures and requirements within a regulated medical device manufacturing environment
What You Need to Bring to the Buyer Role:- Previous purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or related manufacturing experience
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to establish and maintain productive relationships with suppliers and internal teams
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office
- Ability to prioritize responsibilities and work effectively in a deadline-driven manufacturing environment
- Medical device or other regulated manufacturing experience is a plus #metrocareers
