Buyer

Communication Technology Services (CTS) provides custom, carrier-grade in-building and campus connectivity solutions for enterprises and mobile network operators. We work on high-profile, cutting-edge projects across the United States.

We are looking to add a Buyer to our Purchasing Team at our Marlborough, MA corporate office.

No prior purchasing experience is required. Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply, and we will provide on-the-job training. We are looking for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working with numbers, and enjoys working in a fast-paced team environment.

Buyer

The ideal candidate will be good with numbers, have great attention to detail and thrive in a busy, fast paced team environment. Working in conjunction with CTS field personnel and the Admin/Purchasing Teams in the Corporate office, the Buyer is responsible for all procurement and purchasing activities on assigned projects.

Job Responsibilities

• Ensures that all material, equipment and supplies are ordered in a timely manner
• Verifies purchasing requests by comparing items requested to master project list; clarifying unclear items; recommend alternatives to meet project installation timelines
• Maintains accurate project and purchase order records, handles RMA authorization paperwork with vendors and validates invoice payments
• Receives and contacts vendors to find out status of an order

• Work with various field teams daily to ensure that all material, equipment and supply needs that the field have are ordered through established CTS vendors under terms in a timely manner
• Checking all projects that release forms that are being submitted in are filled in completely, field teams hasn't missed any important information that needs to be listed on the order PO
• Ensure each project is in good health to be able to add more material costs onto it. Clarify unclear items with the field teams right away and recommend when needed, alternatives to meet project installation timelines
• Understand the differences between orders needing to have sales tax added to them for invoicing versus orders that CTS can use resale certificates on for the sales tax. Notifying the vendor at PO time if order is taxable or nontaxable based on criteria
• Create and issue purchase orders through our software program called Spectrum while continuing to maintain accurate project and purchase order records in individual job folders held within Purchasing
• Handle RMA requests that arise with the field and working with vendor to gain approvals for returns for credit
• Review and enter through on PO, invoicing for material and equipment sent through from the AP team
• Order all offices supply needs for field offices
• Assist others on the Purchasing team with additional needs in regard to procurement and logistics within the department

Pay rate of $24-27 hourly commensurate with experience.
