Buyer

We have an immediate need for a Buyer with an aerospace manufacturer who will support purchasing, material planning, suppliers, and production requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Create, manage, and expedite purchase orders based on MRP requirements and production demand.

• Monitor inventory, material requirements, lead times, and supplier deliveries.

• Follow up with suppliers on delivery dates, shortages, quality issues, and PO status.

• Read and interpret BOMs, blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.

• Work with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Warehouse, and Accounting to resolve material and purchasing issues.

• Assist with supplier documentation, certifications, and compliance requirements.

• Help resolve material discrepancies, returns, rework, replacements, and supplier issues.

• Maintain accurate purchasing and material information in the ERP/MRP system.

• Support continuous improvement of purchasing, planning, and inventory processes.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of purchasing, buying, material planning, or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Aerospace, defense, or other regulated manufacturing experience preferred.

• Experience with MRP/ERP systems.

• Ability to read BOMs, blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications.

• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.

• Strong organizational, communication, and follow-up skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Knowledge of ITAR, Incoterms, or trade compliance is a plus.

• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.

Pay: $35-$40/hour, depending on experience.
