Buyer

Position Summary: 
The Buyer is responsible forpurchasing raw materials, ingredients, or supplies to support production and business needs. This role communicates regularly with suppliers, maintains pricing accuracy, and ensures materials arrive on time and in the correct quantity. 

Responsibilities: 

• Process and maintain purchase orders, ensuring accuracy of quantities and pricing. 

• Communicate with suppliers to resolve loading issues or discrepancies. 

• Monitor problem loads and follow orders through to resolution. 

• Analyze demand, market conditions, and seasonal and pricing trends. 

• Negotiate contracts. 

• Coordinate with production and sales teams on material needs. 

• Track inbound loads and ensure timeliness of deliveries. 

• Support new vendor setup, quoting, and onboarding. 

• Maintainaccurate documentation related to purchasing activities. 

Qualifications: 

• 3+ years of experience in a similar role 

• Bachelor’s degree preferred. 

• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite. 

• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. 

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
