CAD Operator

Title: CAD Operator

Location: Detroit, MI USA 48226 (HYBRID)

Duration: 2 years with Possible Extension

Pay: $35 - $39/hr. on W2

Job Description:

Must have a CAD operator work experience and or college university course in CAD operation. Must have worked with Auto CAD or Microstation. Must possess the ability to draw basic components in the mechanical, electrical, structural and architectural fields. Must have knowledge of standard 3D drafting. Must have knowledge of standard software packages such as Power BI, Microsoft Suites, and AI tools. Must be familiar with PC maintenance and troubleshooting. Must be familiar with electric distribution overhead, underground, or substations. Must have knowledge in the areas of generating dashboards and tracking data.

Justification: Engineering standards is tasked with developing standards. Currently engineers do the engineering work and the drafting work. With access to a drafter, engineers can focus on engineering and less on drawing. The contractor can also help support tracking metrics, generating dashboards, and innovative ideas while allowing engineers to focus their time on engineering tasks.
