CAD Technician (Remote/Hybrid)

About Our Client

Our client is an established commercial construction and site development firm with projects nationwide.

The Role

The CAD Technician creates and maintains accurate technical drawings, design plans, and construction documents. You'll turn project concepts and specifications into detailed, construction-ready drawings, working with Project Managers, Engineers, and Construction Teams. You'll report to the Director of Design.

What You'll Do

• Develop and revise 2D drawings, 3D models, site plans, grading plans, and shop drawings in AutoCAD and related software.
• Read architectural, civil, and structural plans and keep drawings accurate and consistent with project specs.
• Work with PMs and Engineers to resolve design conflicts and drawing discrepancies.
• Give field teams drawings, revisions, and clarifications, and join coordination meetings.
• Support proposals, estimates, and bids with drawings and quantities.
• Juggle several drafting assignments at once and keep complete project records.

What You Bring

• REQUIRED (non-negotiable): Civil experience with earthwork, dirt work, site work, and utilities
• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Ability to read construction drawings and engineering plans
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication

Preferred

• 1 to 5 years of CAD drafting experience
• An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Construction Management, or Drafting Technology
• Experience with Revit, Civil 3D, Bluebeam, or AGTEK
• Familiarity with site development, grading, and earthwork
