CADD Technician

Pay Rate: $30 - $40 per hour

Summary:

• Location: Salt Lake City, UT
• Duration: 12 Months
• Work Mode: Onsite

Responsibilities:

• Prepare piping/mechanical fabrication drawings and civil site and grading plans for gas distribution pipeline projects.
• Coordinate assigned projects, prepare drawing reviews, and provide ongoing status reports.
• Assist internal and external customers with drawings and pipe information.
• Conduct facility data research for modifying existing facilities.
• Provide gas facility and mapping information for engineering, construction, and other company personnel.
• Work under the direction of supervisors and designers to complete design/drafting assignments with initiative and independent judgment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Two-year associate degree or certificate in Computer Aided Design and Drafting from an accredited institution or equivalent professional experience.
• 0 – 2 years of professional experience.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, AutoCAD Plant 3D, or AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Knowledge of CAD programs, facility drawings, and alignment sheets.
• Basic understanding of property rights-of-way, surveying principles, and basic mathematics including algebra, geometry, and trigonometry.
• A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Vehicle Tracking, Autodesk Vault, Microsoft Office products, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and CADWorx P&ID.
• Ability to read and understand distribution pipeline facility drawings and alignment sheets.
• Entry-level knowledge of Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams.
• Ability to read and decipher construction as-built notes and survey field notes.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail in design drawings and related information.
