Position Overview

We are seeking dependable, customer-service-oriented Food Service Workers to join the cafeteria and dining services team at one of NYC's leading hospital networks!

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in food service, cafeterias, restaurants, hospitality, or cashiering who are looking to work in a professional healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, set up, maintain, and break down food service stations.

• Serve meals, snacks, and beverages to hospital staff, patients, and visitors.

• Ensure food quality, presentation, portion sizes, and proper temperatures.

• Restock food, beverages, utensils, and supplies throughout shifts.

• Operate computerized cash registers and process cash and credit card transactions.

• Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary workstations.

• Assist with food preparation and portioning as needed.

• Follow hospital food safety, sanitation, and infection control guidelines.

• Provide friendly, professional customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Previous food service, cafeteria, restaurant, or hospitality experience preferred.

• Cash handling and POS/register experience a plus.

• Strong customer service and communication skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

• Dependable, punctual, and flexible with scheduling.

• Must be comfortable standing for extended periods.

• Must be available to work weekends and holidays as needed.

Schedule Requirements

• Monday–Friday: Shifts scheduled between 5:00 AM and 11:00 PM

• Saturday–Sunday: Shifts scheduled between 5:00 AM and 9:00 PM

• Flexibility to work varying shifts, weekends, and holidays is required.
