About the Role:
SugarBears Sweet Provisions is looking for a talented and creative Cake Decorator to join our team in Encinitas, CA! If you have a passion for edible artistry and love bringing sweet visions to life, this is the perfect opportunity to do what you love every day in a fun, bakery environment.



Responsibilities:

• Design and decorate custom cakes, cupcakes, and other baked goods using a variety of techniques
• Apply fondant, buttercream, ganache, and other icings with precision and creativity
• Collaborate with customers and team members to execute custom cake orders and special requests
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary decorating workspace in compliance with food safety standards
• Manage multiple orders simultaneously while meeting deadlines and quality standards
• Create decorative elements such as sugar flowers, piping designs, and hand-painted details
• Assist with inventory of decorating supplies and communicate restocking needs

Requirements:

• Prior experience in cake decorating, pastry arts, or a related bakery role preferred
• Proficiency in buttercream and fondant techniques, piping, and cake finishing
• Strong attention to detail with a creative eye for design and color
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced bakery environment
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards (Food Handler's Card a plus)
• Excellent communication skills and a team-player attitude
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
