Camp Housekeeper

Pocono Valley Resort is a private, group rental resort located in the beautiful Pocono Mountain of Pennsylvania. We specialize in hosting large group events including school field trips, company picnics, family reunions, and retreats. Position Title: Camp Housekeeper

Location: Pocono Valley – Pocono Mountains, PA

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, showers, and communal areas daily.
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in all camp buildings.
• Empty trash and recycling bins throughout camp.
• Wash, dry, and fold laundry, including bedding, towels, and staff uniforms (if applicable).
• Restock soap, toilet paper, and other hygiene supplies as needed.
• Perform deep cleaning of cabins and common spaces between camper sessions.
• Assist in cleaning and organizing the camp dining hall and kitchen areas.
• Identify and report maintenance or safety issues to the Facilities Manager.
• Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a clean and hygienic environment.

Qualifications:

• Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a camp setting.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, outdoor environment.
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to take initiative.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 25 lbs, bending, and standing for long periods.
• Willingness to follow all camp policies and procedures.

Working Conditions

• Workdays may include early mornings, evenings, and weekends based on camp needs.
• Primarily outdoor and indoor work in a camp setting, with exposure to changing weather conditions.
• Role may require flexibility based on camper turnover and special events.
