Cardiac/General Anesthesiologist - Washington, D.C.

About this Job:

We are seeking a full-time Cardiac/General Anesthesiologist to join our team at MedStar Washington Hospital Center (MWHC).  This unique opportunity offers a 50/50 mix of cardiac and general anesthesia, including complex cardiac procedures such as LVAD and heart transplant cases.

 

As a quaternary care referral center and Level I Trauma Center, MedStar Washington provides anesthesia services across more than 40 clinical sites, including 30+ operating rooms, Endoscopy, the EP Lab, and L&D. Plus, as a major teaching institution, we serve as a clinical training site for anesthesia residents, SAAs, and SRNAs, fostering a highly collaborative environment dedicated to exceptional patient care, education, and professional growth.

 

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an accredited anesthesiology residency.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology by The American Board of Anesthesiology.
• Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in the state of practice.
• Fellowship training in Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology (completed or currently in progress) is required.
