    Job Description

    Apply to this opportunity as an Echo / Cardiac Sonographer with a top hospital in the Baltimore, Maryland area! Sign-on bonus and relocation bonus offered!

    Position Overview: The Echo Cardiac Sonographer will perform echocardiographic studies to assist in the diagnosis and management of cardiovascular conditions. This role requires a high level of expertise in cardiac imaging, as well as strong analytical and communication skills to provide detailed and accurate diagnostic information.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Perform and interpret transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiograms according to established protocols and physician orders.
    • Evaluate and document the quality of images and measurements, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
    • Prepare and position patients for echocardiographic studies, explaining procedures and addressing patient concerns.
    • Operate and maintain echocardiographic equipment, ensuring optimal performance and troubleshooting any issues.
    • Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to discuss findings and assist in developing patient care plans.
    • Maintain detailed records of echocardiographic procedures, patient information, and diagnostic results.
    • Adhere to safety protocols and infection control practices to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
    • Stay current with advancements in echocardiography and cardiology to provide the highest standard of care.

    Qualifications:

    • Associate’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Cardiovascular Technology, or a related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
    • Certification as an Echo Cardiac Sonographer (e.g., RDCS, RCS) from a recognized certifying body.
