Job Summary:

Reston Hospital Center is seeking a cardiothoracic surgeon to launch Northern Virginia’s newest cardiothoracic surgery program just outside of Washington D.C. in the fast-growing and highly desirable community of Reston, VA. 

Qualified Candidates:
  • Board certified
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience required
  • Superb communication skills and a passion for program development and collaboration
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within the team of our growing program, and have a positive track record of team building
  • Commitment to building an STS 3-star program
  • Experience and comfort level with heart bypass surgery, valve repair and replacement (including TAVR and mitral)
  • Experience in open and endovascular aortic procedures
  • Experience in routine thoracic procedures
  • Knowledge and experience with advanced technologies to reduce the invasiveness of thoracic and cardiovascular procedures
  • Capable of doing complex cases in independent setting
  • Virginia licensure or ability to obtain
