Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Caregiver to provide high-quality care and support to our clients in a professional manner.  While this role can be demanding, it is also highly rewarding, as you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals that call BuILD House home.   
 
Responsibilities 
  • Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
  • Prepare meals and assist with feeding when necessary.
  • Administer prescribed medication to clients as directed. 
  • Perform housekeeping duties, including laundry, cleaning, and organizing living areas.
  • Assist clients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation while following safety procedures.
  • Accompany clients to recreational activities as needed. 
  • Monitor and report changes in client's physical, mental, or emotional condition.
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided and client progress.
  • Follow individualized care plans and BuILD House policies and procedures.
  • Ensure clients are treated with dignity, respect, and compassion at all times.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a caregiver
  • Excellent knowledge of emergency response procedures and First Aid/CPR
  • Knowledge of housekeeping duties and meal preparation, with attention to dietary restrictions and nutritional needs.
  • Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.
  • Respectful, compassionate, and patient demeanor.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong work ethic and professional integrity.
  • Physical stamina and ability to perform caregiving duties.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to pass a Live Scan background check.
  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
