The work

As a Career Coach, your specialty is career planning, search strategy, and interview preparation. Scope, assigned accounts or searches, workload, and engagement terms must be agreed before work starts.

Responsibilities

• Apply your experience in career planning, search strategy, and interview preparation to the agreed work.
• Understand each client's experience, target roles, constraints, and career goals.
• Develop a practical search plan and help clients describe their relevant achievements.
• Provide resume, professional-profile, networking, and interview preparation guidance.
• Help clients use approved job-search tools while retaining responsibility for accurate applications.
• Document agreed actions and progress, adapting coaching to the individual's needs.
• Communicate realistic expectations without guaranteeing interviews, offers, or placement.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching professionals in the named specialty, with a clear coaching approach and relevant client outcomes.
• Clear communication, independent organization, and reliable follow-through.
• Ability to explain relevant prior work without sharing confidential client or employer material.
• Familiarity with the startup and professional-services ecosystem in the target city.

Engagement and compensation

Fixed pay: $75,000 to $120,000 per year. Engagement: contractor.
