Position Summary

The Career Preparation/CTE & Special Projects Coordinator leads and supports regional career planning and Career & Technical Education (CTE) initiatives across the Genesee ISD and local districts. Responsibilities include coordinating Career Planning Initiative (CPI) activities, administering technical skills assessments, supporting CTE articulation processes, managing special projects, assisting with outreach and recruitment efforts, and collaborating with community and industry partners to support career fairs, apprenticeships, and work-based learning opportunities throughout Genesee County.

Working collaboratively with districts, community partners, and internal teams, the coordinator helps ensure students have access to high-quality career preparation experiences that support college, career, and workforce readiness.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree is required. Master's degree preferred. Background in Career & Technical Education (CTE) preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in education, workforce development, training programs, or a related field required.
  • Five (5) or more years of related experience preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

Pay Range: $55,000 - $65,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications

Work Schedule: 230 days / 7.5 hours daily

Paid Time Off:

  • Sick Days - 13
  • Personal Business Days - 3
  • Bereavement Leave
