We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and attentive caregiver to provide personalized in-home care for a client living with cerebral palsy.
Specific Skills Needed:
- Experience with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Ability to safely assist with transfers, mobility, and repositioning, as needed.
- Knowledge of proper body mechanics and safe transfer techniques.
- Ability to assist with range-of-motion exercises as directed in the care plan.
- Patience and understanding when assisting with communication or mobility challenges.
- Ability to recognize and report changes in the client’s condition or behavior.
- Assistance with meal preparation, feeding, and hydration, if needed and within the care plan.
- Ability to maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.
- Strong observation, documentation, and communication skills.
- Reliability, professionalism, and respect for the client’s dignity and independence.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience caring for individuals with cerebral palsy or other physical disabilities is preferred.
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred or required, depending on agency policy.
- Must be dependable, compassionate, patient, and willing to follow the individualized care plan.
