    Description

    Job Summary:
    Senior Helpers of West Oahu is seeking compassionate, dependable, and dedicated Caregivers to provide in-home support to seniors in our community. As a Caregiver, you will assist clients with daily living activities, provide companionship, and help ensure their safety and comfort at home. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about helping others and making a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors and their families.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients

    • Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting

    • Assist with mobility, transfers, and ambulation

    • Provide medication reminders according to the care plan

    • Prepare light meals and assist with feeding when necessary

    • Perform light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, dishes, and maintaining a tidy living environment

    • Accompany clients to appointments or errands if required

    • Monitor and report any changes in a client’s physical or mental condition to supervisors

    • Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and daily activities

    • Follow all company policies, procedures, and client care plans

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

    • Previous caregiving, home care, or healthcare experience preferred but not required

    • CNA certification is a plus but not required

    • Compassionate, patient, and reliable personality

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

    • Ability to follow care plans and instructions

    • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license preferred

    • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

    Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to lift, transfer, and assist clients up to 50 lbs using proper techniques

    • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and assist clients for extended periods

    • Ability to work in various home environments
