Skills: - Experience working with individuals with Autism or related disabilities is preferred

Duties: - Provide in-home care and support to individuals with Autism
- Assist with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding if necessary
- Medication reminders and obtaining as-needed
- Assist with mobility and lifting, ensuring the safety and well-being of the individual
- Maintain a clean and organized living environment
- Engage in social work activities, promoting socialization and community integration
- Advocate for resident rights and ensure their dignity and privacy are respected
Responsibilities: I) Client Care - Assist with daily activities at an individual’s home or daytime residence (Bathing, dressing, toileting, transferring, and maintaining continence)
- Performs tasks including but not limited to making beds, doing laundry, preparing meals, washing dishes, ironing, cleaning, bathing, dressing, etc.
- Planning and preparation of meals for an individual.
- Assists patients with getting up and down stairs, in and out of bed, etc.
- Medication reminders and obtaining
- Provide transportation (up to 5-mile radius per day, up to 3 times a week)
- Educated the family about the status/health of the individual being cared for
- The company reserves the right to add or change duties at any time**
- The caregiver is responsible for providing services to the assigned client only. If other household members reside there, you are not responsible for their dishes, meals, transportation, etc.

Language and Communications Skills: Advanced interpersonal and communication skills to secure cooperation, interpret policies, exchange information, and provide professional judgments in continuous contact with management personnel, colleague managers, and other employees; contacts with medical staff, representatives of outside agencies or groups, clients, families, vendors, and the public. Works with a range of adult clients of various ages with multiple types of health care needs. Ability to listen attentively and speak clearly and distinctly when receiving and responding to inquiries.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Training and certification in CPR/First Aid and AED within the first week of employment, and recertification as required. Annually, each employee must have a PPD test or be determined to be free of symptoms of tuberculosis if there was a previous positive PPD.
Qualifications: - Must be tested for TB annually and pass
- Must have a clear background check, no abuse record, no criminal record, etc.
- Must pass a Drug test
- Must maintain current CPR and First Aid Certification
- Must attend and complete DAIL training
- Must have a valid Kentucky Driver's License or ID
