Job Summary
Halcyon Home Care is seeking a compassionate Caregiver to support a senior female client in Canton who is returning home after hip surgery and rehab. You’ll help her recover safely and regain independence at home, working alongside her home physical therapy team. The ideal candidate is patient, attentive, and reliable, with experience helping clients with limited mobility.


Schedule: starting Sunday, October 18


Responsibilities

• Assist with bathing, hygiene, toileting, and dressing
• Help with safe transfers and walking, following weight-bearing limits and fall-prevention practices
• Encourage and support the home exercise program set by her physical therapist
• Provide medication reminders
• Prepare meals and snacks
• Do light housekeeping
• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Run errands and help with shopping

Qualifications

• Experience as a Caregiver, PCA, CNA (post-surgical or fall-risk experience preferred)
• Current First Aid and CPR certification
• Experience with safe transfers; gait belt and walker experience a plus
• Ability to follow care plans and health and safety guidelines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lift and assist with physical transfers
• Compassionate, respectful, and dependable
• Reliable transportation to Canton
