Caregiver Responsibilities
As a Caregiver, you will provide compassionate, non-medical care and support to our clients in their homes throughout Oswego, Yorkville, Bolingbrook, Plainfield, and surrounding areas. Responsibilities may include:
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Assisting with activities of daily living
- Providing personal care and hygiene assistance as needed
- Assisting with meal preparation and light housekeeping
- Providing medication reminders
- Supporting clients with mobility and transfers
- Accompanying clients to appointments or errands when needed
- Observing and reporting changes in a client's condition
- Following the client's individualized care plan
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and comfortable environment
Caregiver Qualifications
We are looking for caregivers who are:
- Compassionate and caring
- Reliable and dependable
- Team players
- Professional and respectful
- Passionate about helping seniors
- Able to communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of professional experience working with seniors
- Experience in one or more of the following:
- In-home care
- Independent living
- Assisted living
- Memory care
- Hospital
- Rehabilitation
- Current TB test or chest X-ray
- Current CPR certification
- Reliable transportation
- Strong work history
