Verify cargo against booking details and documentationRelease inbound shipments to consignee or freight forwarders.Inspect shipments for damage proper packaging and compliance with airline standardsReview and process air waybills AWB and supporting documentsProvide guidance on international shipping requirements and documentationMaintain records in cargo management systemsResolve shipment issues and answer inquiriesAssist freight forwarders shippers and internal airline staffHandle and verify dangerous goods per IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations DGRInput shipment and customs data into cargo systemsEnsure compliance with agencies such as U.S. Customs and Border Protection CBP and TSACoordinate inspections or holds placed by customs or security agenciesUpdate status of cargo received accepted rejected etc.Monitor shipment status arrived in-bond transferred exported or clearedConfirm cargo remains under bond and is not released without proper authorizationCoordinate screening procedures X-ray ETD physical checks etc.Communicate with warehouse ramp and flight operations teamsEnsure cargo is prepared for timely loading onto aircraftMonitor cut-off times and flight schedulesQualificationsHS Diploma or equivalent combination of experience and education.1-2 years of experience working in a warehouse.Knowledge of transportation and warehousing industry is preferred.Forklift experience preferred certification a plus but not required.Must be reliable and flexible with schedule.Able to work independently and lift up to 75lbsMust pass a background check and drug screeningCompetent data entry skills with attention to accuracy and detailMust have a customer service oriented friendly helpful and professional dispositionMust have the ability to work in a fast paced and always changing environmentLegal status to work in the USAAble to speak conversational EnglishPhysical RequirementsThe work requires routine walking standing bending and carrying items weighing less than fifty pounds. Moving items over fifty pounds will be done using team lift.
