Carpenter

Responsibilities:

Brasfield & Gorrie is hiring experienced carpenters for industrial and commercial construction projects. We welcome applicants with industrial, commercial, or residential backgrounds who have relevant experience with concrete formwork, rough carpentry, or structural construction.

 

Carpenter Responsibilities

• Build rough wooden structures, including vertical and horizontal concrete forms, gang forms, blocking, Johnny clamp forms, scaffolds, and tunnel, bridge, and sewer supports
• Perform work according to blueprints, project specifications, sketches, or verbal instructions
• Construct temporary shelters, signs, and other structural supports as needed
• Follow all jobsite safety requirements and maintain a drug-free work environment
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Provide basic personal hand tools, including a hammer, speed square, tape measure, chalk box, pliers, and tool pouch

Education - Skills - Knowledge - Qualifications & Experience:

Carpenter Qualifications

• Three or more years of carpentry experience preferred
• Concrete formwork, rough carpentry, or structural construction experience preferred
• Experience with vertical and horizontal forms or gang forms is a plus
• Ability to work safely at elevated heights
• Ability to frequently lift materials weighing up to 50 pounds
