Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various carpentry techniques and be proficient in working with different materials. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to quality craftsmanship, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The Carpenter will be involved in various projects, including remodeling, restoration, and new construction.

Duties

• Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made from wood, plywood, and wallboard.
• Perform frame carpentry tasks including building frameworks for walls, floors, and roofs.
• Execute plastering and masonry work as needed for restoration projects.
• Lay tiles and perform installation tasks for flooring and other surfaces.
• Conduct construction estimating to assess project requirements and materials needed.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site to ensure project specifications are met.
• Adhere to safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment.
• Assist in mold remediation efforts when necessary.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Carpenter in the construction or restoration industry.
• Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques including framing, installation, plastering, masonry, and tile laying.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
• Familiarity with construction estimating practices is preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team effectively.
• Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials as required.
• A valid driver's license may be required for transportation to job sites.
