Location: Kearney, NE
Pay: $17.00 21.00 per hour depending on experience
Schedule: Monday Friday, 7:00 AM 5:00 PM with occasional Saturdays
Shift: Day Shift

Job Description

Associated Staffing is hiring Construction Carpenters in Kearney, NE! This position focuses on building post-frame commercial and agricultural structures. We're looking for dependable, hardworking individuals who enjoy hands-on construction work and working outdoors.

Previous construction or carpentry experience is preferred. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for steady work, with projects available even during slower seasons.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist with the construction of post-frame commercial and agricultural buildings.

• Set and install posts, columns, trusses, rafters and wall framing.

• Measure, cut, and install lumber and other building materials.

• Install metal roofing, siding, doors, windows and trim.

• Read and follow blueprints, measurements and construction plans.

• Safely operate hand tools, power tools and construction equipment.

• Load, unload and organize construction materials.

• Maintain a clean and safe job site.

• Perform additional construction duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous construction or carpentry experience preferred.

• Post-frame or pole barn construction experience is a plus.

• Must be able to accurately read a tape measure.

• Ability to use basic hand and power tools.

• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.

• Must be comfortable working at heights including on ladders and elevated surfaces.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the workday.

• Must have a tool bag with a hammer, square and tape measure.

• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance required.

• Strong work ethic, attention to safety and ability to work as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent lifting and carrying of construction materials up to 50 pounds.

• Standing, walking, bending, kneeling and climbing throughout the shift.

• Working outdoors in varying weather conditions.

• Working on ladders, scaffolding and elevated surfaces.

Work Environment

This is a hands-on construction position working primarily outdoors at various job sites. Travel to construction sites may be required.
