Tradesmen International is immediately hiring motivated Carpenter Helpers for projects located in or around Knoxville, TN. This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is up to $22/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:
- Assist with the fabrication and assembly of wood cabinets, laminate products, and plywood components
- Work with solid surface and laminate materials, including cutting, fitting, and finishing
- Sand countertops and surfaces to prepare for final finishing
- Read tape measures accurately and perform basic layout work
- Utilize hand tools and shop equipment safely and effectively
- Support daily shop operations while maintaining quality and production standards
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Follow all company safety procedures and shop requirements
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of construction, carpentry, woodworking, or cabinet fabrication experience
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure
- Experience using hand tools and basic power tools
- Experience with cabinetry, laminates, plywood, or millwork preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be dependable, safety-conscious, and eager to learn
