Carpenters/Laborers Needed! (Anchorage Location) $500.00 Sign -On Bonus Alaskan owned Construction/Restoration company that has been serving Alaska for 50 years, has immediate opening for Anchorage based carpenters. We are looking for multiple levels of experience. From 1+ years of hands -on construction experience all the way to lead carpenters. WHAT WE DO We are a cons truction/restoration company that restores homes & commercial properties after disasters such as fire, wind, earthquake, and water/mold damage. We also do home improvement, residential & commercial remodels, additions, and many other services. We occasiona lly work in rural locations in Alaska as needed. We offer our clien ts emergency services 24 hours per day. Our employees work on a rotation schedule for after -hours but could be called in when not on call for large -scale emergencies. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS • Due to on -call rotation, you must reside in Anchorage for the position. • 1+ years of hands -on construction experience needed for hire as laborer. Higher levels of experience in multiple phases of construction needed for car penter positions. Looking for experience with demo, framing, finish, flooring, drywall, painting, etc. Experience working with fire & water restoration a plus. • Must participate in the in -call rotation for our emergency services) on -site response after dis aster to board up for fires, door kick -ins, etc.) These calls come in 24 -hours a day, 7 -days a week. • Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions from Lead Carpenters, Production Managers, Project Managers , and the Branch /General Manager. • Must b e safety focused. We provide all safety equipment, and all employees are required to use it. • Must provide own tools and insured vehicle for work (proof of insurance to be maintained with the office) • Current driver license with no more than 3 driving infra ctions in the last 3 years. • Ability to work well independently as well as with a team. • Must pass post -offer drug screening (heroin, amphetamines, cocaine, opiates, phencyclidine) • Must pass post -offer background screening. Due to insurance contract requir ements, candidates with felony convictions will not be considered. Any other convictions will need to be discussed with Human Resource Director for contract compliance.
