The Role
As a Carrier Sales Representative, you'll be responsible for building and managing a network of carrier partners, negotiating rates, securing capacity, and ensuring freight moves efficiently while delivering exceptional service to customers and carriers alike.
You'll work closely with the sales and operations teams in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.
Responsibilities
Source and develop new carrier relationships across North America
Build and manage a reliable carrier network
Negotiate rates while maximizing profitability
Secure capacity for customer shipments
Manage truckload shipments from pickup through delivery
Track freight and proactively resolve service issues
Build long-term relationships with carriers
Monitor market conditions and pricing trends
Collaborate with Account Managers and Operations teams
Maintain accurate activity within the company's TMS and CRM
Requirements
1+ years' experience in Carrier Sales, Freight Brokerage or Capacity Procurement
Experience moving FTL freight across North America
Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Commercial mindset with the ability to think quickly
Excellent communication skills
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Experience using transportation management systems is preferred
